Brilliant weather favoured the open ing of the Otahuliu Trotting Club’s summer meeting at Alexandra Park to-day. Good times wore put up on » fast track. There was a large attendance. The tote handled £40,3804, compared with £44,972 last year. Results :
Trial Handicap.—(l) Akenelii 1, (9) Billy Carbine 2, (5) Tamahine 3. AA r on by three lengths; two and a-hali lengths. Time 3.36. Tamaki Handicap.—(l) Halgana 1. (4) Nelson McCormack 2, (2) Rose Marie 3. AVon by half a bead ; half a length. Time 2.50. Papakura Handicap.—(2) Torpedo Htion 1, (1) AVrackler 2, (5) Tiger Salve 3. AVon by three-quarters of a length , four lengths. Time 4.34 1-5. Otahuliu Cup Handicap.—(l) Glide away 1, (2) Jean AlcElwyn 2, (3) Haivest Child 3, (2) Dundas Boy 4.
