(United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.)

LONDON, February 21

Political circles agree that there )uu bemi something of a discussion in Cabinet concerning tbe incidents in the Mouse of ('ominous on tbe 19th over the demand for more money lor Irish lovnlists.

The Chancellor off the Ext hcf|iier. Mr Churchill is naturally nettled because the Cabinet previously bad decided that 110 more money was available for Irish loyalists. It is true that Mr ChurohiH’s forceful personality possibly iiilluenee l this decision, hut the fact remains that the ('a hi net collectively was responsible Air Churchill was only carrying out their decision when be refused to comply with tin 1 demand lor a payment o'i full compensation. l’t was evident from his manner after the Prime Minister's intervention, that Air Churchill felt his position keenly. This feeling persisted at. yesterday’s Cabinet meeting, when he still 'favoured sticking to his guns and forcing the estimate through in its original form. It is stated that Air Churchill asserted that he had been let down hv his colleagues and his party. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Parliamentary correspondent states—Air Churchill found himself in a minority of one. It is understood that all of the other .Ministers, including Mr Leopold Amery. 'favour paying the awards fully. The discussion at times was rather warm, but it was eventually agreed t' postpone the decision until next weekly meeting of Cabinet 011 February -1 •
