AKA.ROA, Feb. 20

The Sanders Cup contest for 1929 was concluded here to-day, when the Avalon won the sixth race, and after being held for three years by Canterbury, the Sanders Memorial Cup will return to Auckland. The race was a close one between tile Avalon and the Wellington boat Clyde, both of which only required another win to secure the cup. The Clyde hung on to the Avalon ai the way. and there was never mud more than a minute separating then; The Avalon finally won by 48 secs.
