The vindication of ex-Polico Sergeant Josling. cabled yesterday, tale s the form of the expiinction of the order made in 1922 for bis dismissal from tlie Police Force in connection with a false charge of corruption involving Sergeant Goddard. Interviewed, Josling states Goddard many times asked him to join in the weeklV 'share outs but Josling refused, though Goddard said the money will be placed in your locker, you need not handle it. at all. As a result of this -attempt at bribery, Josling wrote to the Police Commissioner of the Home Ollice. An inquiry followed in which the Chairman commenting on Josling’s attitude said: “You are a self-righteous individual.” As a result of the inquiry they believed Goddard.
