Poincare, shaking in the Senate, declared I 1 the Government was determined that agriculture shall net perish. The vital problem was to hold a balance between farming and industry. The Senate passed a vote of confidence in the Government respecting ,i.s measures to raise* and stabilise the price of wheat, and to organise a cooperatve scale of wheat.
