SEASON 1929-11)30. Representatives of the ..West Cpast Racing and Trotting Clubs met at Greymouth yesterday, on the invitation of the Greymouth Jockey Club to discuss raeng dates for next season. There were present: Messrs Coates (Greyipouth) . voted tp chair, Spencer and Perotti (Reefton . J.C.), ■ Evans (.Westland.R;o.), Kitchiughanv (Greymouth T.C.), McGregor (Westland T. 0.), Gilbert (Kumara R.C.),‘LockJngton, (Innagahua T.C.), Slee (AVestporfc J.C.. and l T.C.) After a general discussion the following scheme of dates was drawn up, and it was resolved to remit same to the Club’s for. adoption.
. CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR, December 26th, (Thursday), Westland ;Racing Club. December 26th. and 27th. (Thursday and Friday) Westport Trotting Club. December 28th. and 30th. (Saturday and Mopday), ; Reef ton Jockey Club. December 31st. (Tuesday), luangabua. trotting Club. January Ist. and 2nd. (Wednesday and Thursday) Greymouth Jockey Club. ■ January 3rd. (Friday) Westland Trotting Club. January 4th. and 6th. (Saturday and Alpnday) Greymouth Trotting Club. ■EASTER, 1930.
April 12th., and I.4th. (Saturday and . Monday) • AVestport Jockey Club. April 21st. (Monday); Kumaya Racing Club. April 23rd. and 24th.. (Wednesday and Thursday) Westland Racing Club. April 26th..and 28th. (Saturday and Monday) Greymouth Jockey Club. April 30th. (Wednesday) Reefton Jockey Club. It was also decided to issue the Clubs’ programmes for the full season in August of each year. Clubs were also to be: recommended to control the. bird-cage. in. accordance with, the rules. The Westport Trotting Club were asked to consent to one trotting event being included in the programme of the Reefton Jockey Club for the 28th. December, as a trial for next season.
