The Cruiser Bill was signed with little ceremony, after a conlerence with congressional leaders concerning ways and means to provide the necessary fifty million dollars in tliis and the next fiscal year. There is no official comment, but it is indicated that all leaders are willing to co-operate witli President Coolidge’s wish to hold down legislative appropriation in order t > provide tor cruisers under the piesent budget.
