Mr Latham, Federal Attorney, General, has again communicated with the Australian Council of .Trades Unions, asking whether they intend to reply to his appeal for an observance of the 48 hour week limber award conditions. lie has indicated that ii no reply is received forthwith, lie will he compelled to take legal action against the Timber Workers’ Union for disobedience of the Lukin award. ADELAIDE MEN. ADELAIDE, February 11. A lorry containing a ton o'l coal on route tor a city timber yard was overturned by one hundred men, who were dispersed by the police. MELBOURNE, February 11. Seventy carters attached to a city timber yard were dismissed to-day on account of the timber strike.
