Since Aussie arrived at Wiugatui, his work has been confined to slow to threequarter pace exercise, but this morning lie was sent out over 6 furlongs with about his Publican’s Handicap weight up. He was picked up over the last 4 furlongs by Untalii, and running the first four furlongs against a gale of wind, fully :20ft. out from the rails, be finished up not ridden out, in 1.16 2-5 secs., the last three furlongs in 38 2-5 sees. This is one of the best sprinting gallops over seen at Wingtuui.
