The “Daily Herald” hints that General Booth’s counsel intends to ask the High Council of the Salvation Army to hold its hand for a lew days, hut the High Council is likely to protest against any such formal delays in reaching a decision. It is not improbable that the legal difficulties will he protracted over some months, in consequence of which dramatic developments are expected in a few days. The High Council may disperse, after delegating a solution of the crisis to a British Commission. GENERAL’S LEGAL PLEA. LONDON. February The “Daily Chronicle” states: When bis counsel presents General BooLli’s ease to the High Court, lie will eontend that the General’s illness arises from a campaign begun in the year 1926, over the signature, “The Man from Texas,” in the shape of letters from America to the Staff Officers throughout the world, undermining General Booth’s authority. It will bo emphasised that other Commissioner* have had over a year’s sick leave, and the General’s counsel will demand similar treatment for the General himself.
