THE HANDICAPPING PROBLEM. A meeting of the New Zeaand Trotting Conference, Air H. E. Niclioll pre siding, was held in Wellington, when the question of introducing a system o f handicapping was the main item of discussion. The meeting was held in response to a petition signed by tlm majority of owners and trainers in the Dominion, and eventually it was decided to call a meeting some time in February, when the following would be invited to attend:—Messrs H.
