ARBITRATION COURT
THE NOMINATIONS. WELLINGTON, February 3. Industrial unions of employees have submitted the names of A. L. Alonteith (Wellington), and J. N. Ea.sdale (Nelson), for the position of nominated workers’ member on the Court of Arbitration, and of W. E. Sill (Auckland), E. D. Cornwell (Wellington), AV. B. Thomson (Nelson), and J. Purtell (Auckland for the position of acting nominated member. It stated that the Alliance of Labour is to support the nomination of- Alcssrs Alonteith and Cornwell. Mr Alonteith is the sitting workers’ representative on the Court. Mr Cornwell is President ot the Wellington Trades and Labour Council. The nominations by the Industrial Unions of Employers are:—For nominated member, At. J. I>. Schmitt (Wellington); For acting nominated member, Mr S. E. Wright (Auckland). In the case of the employers’ representative a ballot will not he necessary. Air J. L. Schmitt having been elected without opposition.
