Houston and ui. report : There was only a small yarding at the l above sale yesterday, our entry comprising 2G head of fat cattle. There was a good attendance of buyers and * competition was very keen, with the result that prices finned considerably, the sale being the dearest held at these 1 yards for a considerable time. Ox beef sold as high as d()s per hundred and good heifer and cow beef from 42s to fSs. We sold as follows On account of ('. Sadler. 2 bullocKs at IT7 Ids, 1 at CM Ids. 1 at tin 17s Gd. 1 heifer at GDI 17s Gd. 2 at* £l2 Ids, I bullock at GIG IDs. 2 heifers at £ll, 3 bullocks at GIG 2s (id. 2 heifers at £lO 17s (id, 2 bullocks at £IG ds, 2 at GIT 10s, 2 at GUI 17s Gd, 3 at £I d 17s Gd. An entry of GO head of store cattle, comprising cows, heifers and M’ung steers were oficred for Mi' Macdonald and sold as under: —Dry cows from Co 9s to Cd 12s Gd, cow and runner £7 .Is. ditto Gd 12s Gd, yearling heifers to Cl 12s Gd. empty cows Cd Gs. rows and calves Cd ds ; a line of yearling to 1* months steers at C-T 10s.
