News from Richmond, Virginia, states nine, all of one family, were burned to death at the nearby town of Biukhannon. when a tire destroyed the home of Peter Fines, a miner. Tlie victims included five children. Troy Gibson, husband of one of the victims, alone escaped, badly burned. It is stated a can of powder caused the blaze.
