Reed, a well known settler and member of Matakaoa County Council, who was found unconscious on a bridle track on one of his statins several weeks ago and has since been lying at Tepuia Hospital with flickering gleams of consciousness died to-day. It is presumed Reed had a fall from or was kicked by his horse, sustaining concussion.
