IN THE COMMONS. (United Service). LONDON, Jan. 29. In the Commons. Hon. W. Churchill. in answer to a question, said the Government did not intend to require that Mr Blackett should resign Uadirectorship of the Bank ol England, or Clarendon the Chairmanship of the Broadcasting Corporation, in order to Ijocome respectively chairman and director of the new Communications Company taking over the cable and wireless services. The period of the new appointments would doubtless be subject to arrangements when the eoinmuuicatiou company was constitu.'od. Air Welloek: “Has Communications Company got its eye upon controlling the broadcasting corporation.” Mr Churchill: “No such deduction would lie legitimate.”
