MISSING AEROI’LANES. IN AFGHAN TERRITORY. (United Service). (Received this day at 8.80. a.m.) LONDON, January 80. The “ Mail’s ” correspondent at Un : Imre says grave fears are entertained for two Air Eoree troop carrying aeroplanes, which left Peshawar for Kabul to rescue the remainder of the Europeans. Neither have returned. It is understood one was forced to make a landing in country whose hospitality is doubtful. The other is believed to have reached Kabul but should have immediately returned. Scouting aireraift lias boon dispatched Irom Peshawar to investigate.
AIR. WARNING. LONDON. January 80. The “.Mail’s” Basra correspondent says the air force carried out a demonstration over Wahabi tribesmen concentrated sixty ' miles south-west of here. The purpose of the. warning is believed to lie sufficient to deter a threatened attack.
