At the Amateur Athletic meeting, the contest for 'MO yards cup relay race, tor which three teams entered, resulted:—Wellington 1, Gisborne 2, Wairoa 3. Wellington led all the'way and won by six yards. Time o 5 ‘l-5. In 100 yards scratch Invitation Race, .Miss Norma Wilson (Gisborne) Now Zealand cha\npion was defeated by six yards by .Miss J. Wilson (Wellington), her time 11 3-5, equalling the New Zealand record.
