the national park. .Arrangements are being set in train fur the functioning of the Arthur’s Pass National Park Scenic Reserve Board when it has been set up. It will be recalled that the original idea ivas that special'legislation should' be obtained constituting the Board and* setting out its powers, but that the tW Government decided upon a general Bill which was duly placed on the Statute Book. -This-Act does not come into force till April Ist. Board to control the Arthur’s Pass National 'Park, will he appointed by • the Governor-Genera 1-in-Cou.ncil. In the meantime plans of the area t 0 be included within the boundaries of the Arthur’s Pass National Park, and the schedules describing the boundaries are being’ prepared and will be jn readiness for the Board when it is set up and begins to function.
