M/ Wilford, met the heads of the New army, navy, and aviation forces tp-day for a general discussion on defence questions. “f. am going to call these officers together two or three times a year,” said the Minister to a correspondent of the “Hytt'elton Times.” ‘‘The general discussions which, ensue are extremely .valuable in securing co-ordination between all branches of the defence service, and will enable the Ministerial head'to keep intouch wth all developments and a close eye on expenditure.. We threshed out aviation problems which are coining, on, and it was very interesting and valuable to have this aspect discussed with the heads of other arms of defence. Certain comni it tees have been set up to prepare reports'for consideration on Friday.”
