WORLD COMPETITION. A SURE GUARANTEE. LONDON, January 27. If the plans of the motor manufacturers throughout the world mature in 1929, the motor industry will become the greatest in the world. The production programmes and the sales policies have been revolutionised. The total output is expected reach 5,800,000 vehicles, valued at £870,000.000. America expects to produce five million vehicles in 1929. France expects to produce 230,000 cars, Canada a quarto,. of a million cars, Italy seventy thousand cars, and Britain a quarter of a million cars. The resultant competition is expected to lead to a great reduction in the prices.
