A R.EOORD PROFIT. AUCKLAND, dan. 2-5. A. record profit on the operations for the year ended December hist, is disclosed by the directors of the Auckland Gas Company. The annual report, just issued to shareholders, says tlia the profits, alter deducting working expenses, cost of repairs and renewals, management expenses, interest, bad debts, depreciation and oilier charges, amount to £89,821. This, with the balance brought forward, makes a 'em!it to profit an<l loss of £129.504, loss interim dividend paid in duly £-14,‘>89. The balance, to be dealt, with is £85,005, and the directors now recommend a dividend for the past year at the. rate of eight per cent on the £1 fully paid shares, and a proportionate amount on the erntribuling shares 15s paid. The sum of £40,282 will be carried forward.
