A mutiny lias broken out in a division of native troops, tlic remnants of ex-Governor Chang Cluing (’hang’s army, stationed at Lungkow in the Shantung province. Hie coast cities of Hungkow. Hwatighsieu and Tcngcliowfu have been sacked and foreign residents compelled to fly lor safety, aboard two Japanese warships.
Twenty thousand Nationalist troops have been despatched 'lrom Ninghau to quash the rebellion. The mutineers looted every building, emptied the armoury, killed three high military officers and the chairman of 11 wanglisien Chamber of Commerce.
