THE KING’S IMPROVEMENT CONTINUES. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegr ap li—Copy r igh t). (United Service.) LONDON, Jan. 23. A Bulletin states the improvement in His Majesty’s condition, noted in the last Bulletin, continues. A bacteriological examination shows the right chest is now free ‘from the infectious organisms.—(Signed) Rigby, Whitby, and Dawson. Dr. Jlcwitt did not sign the Bulletin owing to bis being absent from the consultation, as lie is suffering from a cold. Palace circles are of the opinion tlr.it the fact of the infection ol the chest has disappeared is one of the most reassuring signs yet noted. it means tiio King is suffering only from weakness. The improvement of the past few days renders it possible to fix the approximate date of his departure for the seaside, namely the first week in February, though the actual day naturally depends on the weather. Lord Dawson spent hnlf-an-hour at the Palace tonight. Dr Hewctt is still confined to his house with a cold.

For tlic first time since the King’s illness only one doctor signed the bulletin. Dr Dawson was at the Palace barely half an hour. Ilis Majesty has gained considerably in strength since he ‘began to take solid food. Ho will be encouraged to sit up in bed, possibly on Tuesday. “The “Sunday Express” states the doctors hope if the weather is good that Ilis Majesty will be able to go to Bognor at flic end of tlic week.

Throe van loads of extra furniture, including an invalid chair have arrived at C-raigwell House.
