ANGLICAN CHURCH
DEAN INGE’S CRITICISM
(United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.)
LONDON, Jan. 24
Doan Inge has published a new hook, “Assessments and Anticipations” (Cassell and Co.). In. this he comments as follows: —“The state of the Church-of England is not encouraging. Most of the leading .churchmen are socially much in evidence, but they are intellecutally hiding. Their exeat licdra pronouncements do not carry weight. The Church debates transport, us into a strange, unreal world. The Church is profoundly divided in opinion. There may-he another period of secessions, expulsions and disruptions.”
