A proposal to raise the maximum yearly pension for Governors of Dominion,, etc. from £I3OO to £2OOO is explained in a memordamim-. on the .financial resolution introduced in the .House of Commons by the Secretary o'l State for the Colonies. On the resolution will be found a Bill to give .effect, to,the recommendations contained in thp report of Lord Bucton’s Committee. Increases in the scale .of £1 per month of service, in the various classes are detailed, and it is estimated that • the added expense involved by the Bill will be between £SOOO and £OOOI .yearly.
