After Drs Dawson. Rigby and Ilewett saw the King this morning they announced that progress was maintained. The next bulletin is expected tomorrow night.
“Central News” says the King is making even more rapid strides towards convalescence than is indicated by the official statement. His Majesty is in better spirits and cheerfulness reigns at the palace.
The Duke and Duchess of York attended a performance of “Patsy.”

RUGBY. Jan. 23
The King is regaining strength bill so slow is this process that at least two weeks must elapse before lie will be strong enough to be moved to (Jruigw-.il! House, near Bognor, where he will go to recuperate. The only feature which does not give cause for satisfaction at present is that his weight does not increase It is hoped the change of air will have a beneficial effect.
The Queen will accompany the King to Bngpnr. It is now thought likely that His Majesty will make the journ ey by train. The problem is whether a shorter journey by train which would necessitate his removal from car to train in London, and from train to another car at Bognor, would have a greater advantage than an uninterrupted journey by road, which would take much longer. Tile advantage of the train would be that it could be so comfortably fitted that little motion would be felt.
