REVOLTING STORY.
(By Telegraph—Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 23. A revolting story of a man interfering seriously with two little children, a girl aged seven years, and a hoy aged six years, was toid hv the police in the Children’s Court this morning, when a depraved .specimen °i humanity, of about thirty years of ago, pleaded guilty to two serious charges of indecently assaulting two little children. As the case was heard in the Children’s Court the name of tiie nccussed was suppressed. Chief-Detective J. Carroll said that two- children returned home from school in Durham Street. When they returned home they were playing with a baby’ in the hack yard. Accused came round exhibiting hair-cutting instruments. The adults were not at home, and accused took the two child ren into the wash-house and interfered with them. When arrested, ae citsed admitted the offences. Dr M. Cotter gave medical evidence in accordance with the police statement. A girl of seven years of age and hoi brother, aged six, gave evidence ol tho offences.
