STOREMEN’S NEW AGREEMENT,

WELLINGTON, Jan. 23

A meeting of the Conciliation Council was held to-day to consider an application by the Union of Woikers for •in increase of wages and other alterations to the present award covering the work of the storemen employed throughout the Dominion. A complete agreement upon all of the clauses in dispute was arranged between parties, and, with the exception of some minor alterations, the neu schedule of working conditions is upon the same lines as the existing award.

The Arbitration Court will lie asked to embody the new conditions in an award of the Count at next sitting in Wellington.
