THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES.
Is it War? Mr W. H. Edwards, in his widelydiscussed book, “ This Pact Business,” warns the world that there is as much danger of war to-day as there was in 1914, when ” Russian, French, Austrian, and Italian war-mongers” utilised conflicting national rivalries iis •• the centrepiece of a war-game that other Powers were anxious to wage at the ' expense of the two/ teutonic peoples. n In fuel, according to thin authority, everybody made the Great War except innocent Germany. It is well to remember that Mr Edwards, in spite of his name, is himself a German. - —'the Bystander.
