A SYDNEY HERO

CORONER’S TRIBUTE. Australian Press Assn.—United Service SYDNEY, Ja.n. 21. 1 here was held fo-day an inquiry into the death of SI mart, from shark bites, at Bondi, on January 12th. The Coroner, at the conclusion of the inquiry, shook hands with and complimented Robert Kavanough, a dental student, who was mainly responsible for Stuart’s rescue. The Coroner described Kavanougii’s action as having been a most wonderful one, it having been fraught with grave danger. He expressed the hope that his heroism would be recognised in the proper quarters. The Coroner added that Kavatiough’s family should lie proud of such a noble lad. Kavanough and his mother modestly answered “Thank von!”
