M ASTERTON TOURNEY. (By Telegraph—Press Association). NIASTERTON, January 21. The second day of the NVairarapa Lawn Tennis Association’s annual tournament, at which the North Island championship will he decided this year, was marked by particularly good progress in all sections of play. It was much cooler than Saturday, and players found the conditions not nearly so trying. The champions again won their respective games, the most notable exception being NY. J. Melody, who fell to E. M.. Hodder, a local player, in the meii’s chainponship singles, and also,- suffered defeat in the men’s championship doubles. Semi-finals will be started to-mor-row. .
