COURT MARTIAL
NAVAL OFFICER’S .SENIORITY. (Australian Press Association) (United Service.) MELBOURNE, January 18. For having acted to the prejudice of good order and naval discipline, Engineer Lieutenant Commander William Henry Edgar of lI.ALA.S. An/.ne lias been deprived of two years seniority, and placed on the retired list. 'lbis was the sentence of the court martial. It is learned that the original sentence was more severe, but was reduced by the Naval Board.
Edgar, who was born in Dunedin, joined the navy twenty years ago and served with great distinctoii during the Great War. He was the only -Australian officer to take part in the raid at Zeebnigge. lie was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross.
