WEDDING BELLS

RUTLAND—RUTHERFORD. The wedding of Elsie May, younger daughter of Mr G. Rutherford, of Opawa, to Harry Frank (Bush), second son of Mr and Mrs H. Butland, of Hokitika, was celebrated on Thursday last at St. Paul’s -Church, Cashel St., Christchurch, by the Rev. F. J. Tylee,. of> Lyttelton. 'Who bride was'.given away tbv her father. The bridesmaid, Miss Pearl Nicholas, wore a dainty frock of Lido blue georgette, the sleeves and skirt being prat tilv flared. Her hat was of rosobeigo straw, and her bouquet was of autumn tinted carnations and hothouse flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Leigh Butland (brother), of Wellington, as 'best man. reception was held at the resilience of the bride’s father. Mrs’ S. | Wales, sister of the bride, and Mrs JJ. \ Butland, the bridegroom’s mother, were Later Mr and Mrs H. F. Butland left for the north, the bride wearing a chic jumper suit of rose-beige charmeuse, a hat of the same shade and a navy repp tailored coat.
