BUSH FIRES
A NARROW ESCAPE. (Australian Press Association) (United Service.) (Received this day at. 10.110. a.in.) SYDNEY. Jan. 17. A. Barralier message states four men. wlm were trapped in a hill by bush fires which wore aided hy a strong wind, eventually reached solely in a half siill'oealed slate. The Homes racist through the district which was missed hy an extensive blaze a few days ago. All available men are no\v lighting the outbreak. Already the damage is great and Rock Lily and Mount View stations are gravely threatened. With a front of fifty miles a lire is raging in the Abercrombie mountains. Owing to the inaccessible country it will probably bill'll until rain falls. Extensive damage has been done.
