AFGHAN REBELLION
AMANULLAH’S ABDICATION. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received this day at 10 a.m.) DELHI. Jan. 10. Messages from Kabul regarding the dramatic abdication of King Amanullah, state it took place oil Monday when rebels under Bacehaskav sur. < rounded the village of Delkopak, three miles west of Kabul, which was the local, headquarters of; the King’s troops, capturing a large garrison and guns. The troops then bombarded and advanced on the capital. King Amanullah immediately abdicated and ail armistice was arranged through the Mirlali, but the latest iniformatimi states the fighting is proceeding in the vicinity of Kabul. Although lighting has been severe in the vicinity of the British Legation no damage is reported and members of the Legation are sale. lmiyatullnh, who is forty years of age, was a prominent assistant to the late King Habibullali, but after Aninnullah’s accession was imprisoned for three years.
