A Vienna correspondent states r stringless piano invented by an Aus trian architect, Spielmann, was publicly . demonstrated. It resembles an up right piano with ordinary keyboard. The keys have light’ electric lamps whose beams strike a selenium cell. This sets up electric currents which sound musical notes in a loud speaker. The tone is described as beautiful. The mechanical device enables the production of quarter tones and eight tones.
