DARING THEFT.

TILL REMOVED FROM SHOP. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 14. A daring theft was committed in the city on Saturday night between eight and nine o’clock, the till and contents being removed from a shop at the corner of Armagh Street and Fitzgerald Avenue, Christchurch, during a period of a few minutes while the owner was absent.

The shop is owned by Mrs Peters,

iid she went out to the street for a nr minutes to speak to a customer.

On returning to the shop, she discovered that, during her absence someone had moved the till and the contents, amounting to a few pounds.
