Serious Tires are reported from all parts .of the State. The city itself is encircled by a complete ring of fires, and flit; damage will amount to man; thousands of pounds. Finding themselves onrircled by.the flames they locked them selves dp the old gao! and there were almost, suffocated when .released. .The fire, swept over an urea of thousands of acres. Adclong is sending frantic appeals lor men to help to subdue tho fire •which is sweeping towards the town Gra/.iers are frantically mastering slock. Two stations have been destroyed.. Excessive heat precludes work until night time.
