ALSATIAN DOGS
“A REAL DANGER.” [By Telegraph, Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, January 4. A new danger that is threatening the slieepfarrner of New Zealand was spoken upon strongly by Sir Thomas Mackenzie in the course of an interview. “The importing into New Zealand of Alsatian dogs is a real danger,” said Sir Thomas Mackenzie. “They are really wolves, and are much to be feared. Instances are frequently brought beiore the British public ol the ferocious nature of these animals. Just before I lc-ft England for New Zealand a boy fell victim to one of them, and died. “There were 'other such instances during my stay. Another dog made an attack on his mistress.
