TOUCH OF HAND. PREVENTS PUTREFACTION. United Press Association—By ElectricTelegraph—Copyngnt). PARIS, Jan. 5. Scientific circles arc following most keenly an extraordinary experiment which is being carried out at the School of Phychologv, in which M. Gaillard claims that the mere touch of the hand prevents putrefaction of food. The experiment began on Saturday and is lasting ton days. Twice dail AT. Gaillard handles, in the presence of witnesses, a- mutton chop, a dead swallow, a piece of calf’s liver and dead fish.
Up to the present, none of thesi show any signs of decay, though corresponding articles sealed in a tnea safe and not subjected to the magneti touch are already decaying. It has been suggested .that- shoul the experiment be successful this curious power may be made use of in arresting the development of cancerous growth.
