OBITUARY. SIR CHARLES MACARA. RUGBY. January 2. Sir Charles Mncara, the well-known cotton magnate, who died to-day at his home at Altrincham. Cheshire, was recognised all over tin* world as one of the kings of the cotton industry. Despite his age lie had applied his wisdom and experience since the war to grappling with the troubles of Lancashire. He was chairman of the Pro visional Emergency Cotton Commit tecset up in 1922.
