DONKLYMAN'S SUICIDE. (By Telegraph —Press Association). NFW PLYMOUTH, Jan 4. The body of Herbert Bryant, a doiikeyiinin on the steamer Waipatu, was found on a lawn at George Roper’s Mouse, Spots wood to-day, with a gunshot wound in the chest. Bryant had boon staying with Roper on holiday. He took the gun, saying he was going shooting. He said good-bye to his family, and left. Almost immediately a shot was heard, and his body was found. Letters to relatives in England wore found on the body, expressing an intention to commit suicide. It is said that Bryant was despondent as the result of an unsuccessful love affair. MOTOR CYCLIST KILLED. AUCKLAND, January 4. Fatal injuries were sustained by Hector Neil Millar, aged 27, manager ol British Cycles Ltd., as the result of a collision between a motor cycle that he was riding, and a light motor truck in Anzac Avenue. The motorcycle, which was-proceed-ing down Anzac Avenue at a moderate pace, struck the rear portion of the truck, throwing Millar heavily on the roadway. His injuries proved fatal before the hospital was reached. Millar, who resided with his mother, was well-known in motor cycling circles. INFANT DIES FROM INJURIES. AUCKLAND; Jan. 4. Desmond Charles Josephs, aged lour years, died in the hospital to-night from injuries sustained when the child was struck by a. bus on the New North Rond, an hour earlier. The hoy lived with his parents in Ethel Street, Fxlenda.lc.
