LUXURIOUS FURNISHINGS.
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright),
LONDON, December 28. Furnishings which are claimed to help to prevent seasickness are now being used on several big liners, which are undergoing an overhaul in preparation for New Year sailings, according to the “Daily Mail.” The tendency to ship furnishings is to eliminate everything giving a passenger the impression that he is aboard ship, said an official of a Liverpool firm furnishing the Cunarder, Aquitania. “We find ship Ifurnisliing on the lines of a luxurious hotel has a- psychological effect 'on the passenger, and tends to reduce seasickness. Colour plays an important part in creating harmonious surroundings. Blue, pale yellow and pink suggest cheerfulness and peace.”
