The return professional boxing cont.estt between Tommy Mel lines (Scotland) and Lacliic McDonald (Dunedin) to-night, was won by Mclnnes on points at the end of the full fifteen rounds. , It was one of the finest bouts ever seen in Auckland, and drew a crowded house, who cheered the contestants. The pace from the start was terrific, McDonald tiring the quicker of the two, hut ho came again in the last round with a wonderful burst, after being groggy for the two preceding rounds.
