COMMERCIAL ITEMS
ARAHTTRA FAT STOCK SALK. Messrs 31. Houston and Co. report— At the above sale yesterday our entry consisted of 16 sheep and lambs, 25 fat cattle and 62 head of store cattle, which were submitted to a large attendance of buyers. Owing to the smaller yarding of fat cattle prices were much firmer than at the previous sale, the rise being from 25s to 30s per head. Store cattle wero all sold at satisfactory prices. We sold as follows:—On account of T. Staines, 4 fat ewes (woolly) at 40s 6d; 5 ewes with 7 lambs at 22s 6d, all counted; 1 Romney ram at £5 ss. On account of Charles Sadler, 2 bullocks at £ls 12s 6d, 1 at £l6 10s, 2 at £l4 17s 6d, 1 at £ls os, 2 at £l2 15s, 2 at £l6 12s 6d, 1 at £l4 12s 6d, 3 at £l3 7s 6d, 1 at £lO 17s Gel, 2 at £l4 15s, 3 at £l2. On account of T. Staines 1 cow at £lO 12s 6d. On account of client, 1 heifer at £ll 10s; 1 at £ll ss. On account of T. Staines, 18 store bullocks ;it £ll, 1 at £5, 3b at £ll. On account of D. Agnew, 4 store cows at £5 7s 6(1; 1 at £2; privately, 70 fat sheep at 31s.
