■ln tlio Okurito Hall a very enjoya!)!o evening was given on 'Monday night by .Mr and .Mrs J'as. Donovan, the occasion being to celebrate the coming of age of their son Thomas. Owing to unavoidable business Air das. Donovan could not 'be present. The room was decorated witli native s hrub and fern, trimmed with flowers ol the lupin. Friends invited from The forks, Shvtey CTeek, Tatar©, AVaiho Gorge, and Doherty’s Creek attended in strong force. Mr T. (Teen had charge of the floor and Mrs das Donovan, supplied the music, .gongs were rendered by Messrs J. Condon, Friend, Green and others. Supper was served in the hall, and the iable was most attractively arranged and at the conclusion, the “guest of the evening,” was given three hearty cheers, and they all sang “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow” with much spirit, and so concluded a very pleasant social.
