Lake Kanicri road under a considerable gang of man, is now being improved greatly for the holiday traffic. The County road plant is being used to great advantage along the line of road. At the lakeside, Airs Tullocli is having a refreshment room erected which will supply a much felt want for touring parties and others visiting Lake Kan>eri.

Now that the holidays are at hand, and with Lake Kanieri liecoming established as the popular resort it is, there appears to he the need for having Tuluia track better defined for the guidance of strangers. There is a good climb to the top of Mount Tuhua (2688 feet) hut a wonderful view presents itself on all sides, and if the possibilities were better known, many would enjoy the trip which can he done in a day. With the shelter hut at the commencing point of the track shortly to he erected, more attention will lie drawn to the route, which is very picturesque at every stage, and gaining the top a wonderful panorama of the greatest scenery in Westland is to he seen. Those interested in popularising this route and walk, should see that the line of track is well defined by guide posts.
