LECTUEE RS APPOINTED

AUCKLAND, December 11
Several new lecturers were appointed by the Auckland University College Council vesterdav.
Mr AV. T. G. Airey, a graduate o r the Auckland University College, and tow lecturer in English History at i lie Christchurch Training College, was unpointed lecturer in History out ol t wenty-one applicants. .Air R. P. Anschutz, senior s- holnr in Philosophy tit the University of New Zealand in 1.923, and a post-graduate of Edinburgh University, where lie has recently been tiding as assistant to
•he professor of Logic and Metaphysics, was appointed lecturer in Philosophy, Mr 8. I. Crookes, inr.. who has been part-time lecturer at the college during the past three years, was appointed lecturer in building construction.
•\liile Mr .7. Turkington, who lias been lecturing tit the School ol Architecture recently, was given the led o.resliip in freehand drawing. The vacant lectureship in architecture will be filled during the next day or so.
