NAPIER WOOL SALE:
A SATISFACTORY ONE, 'By Telegraph—Press Association). NAPIER, December 12. Tlie second wool sale of the season was held in Napier to-day. On the whole, the prices offered were satis factory to the vendors. The finer lots brough prices equal to those ruling at the November sale, but the course lots dropped slightly, shabbier sorts showing a three-farthing decrease. . The total offering reached 2/,(Du bales, and a good clearance was effected. A bench full of buyers "as present, representing England, America and the continent, as well as the Dominion mills. The bidding stattii well, hut it was not consistent, and fell off towards the close with a consequent increase in the passings, as compared with the previous sale. Prices, hollies and locks were m the keenest demand. The prices ottered for super lines in these classes were relatively better than for the fleece wools. ~ , The clip opened up in excellent condition. The recent weather conditions and the adundance of t ed had an effect, but on the "hole t clip made a splendid showing, and called for some praise. The best price of the daj *■- secured for a line of Cornedale eee\ wool. Lamb’s wool was not m gie. quantity, but the quality « s and it was taken at aafsf.ulo figures.
